Carving a Female Profile
This class aims to show you how to carve a female face from the side view. From nose shape to forehead profiles, the differences between male and female faces are generally simple once understood. This project will show you some of those differences and how to achieve better results in female face carving.
“Why the profile?” -you might ask, well, because it is perhaps the most neglected angle by beginners and it is equally important as the “front view” of a carving. Achieving a better profile was integral in my own personal growth as a carver; realizing the importance of this whole other side of my portrait carving was crucial.
As always share your projects for review on the FOW Facebook page! Enjoy!
